Trevor Hartley

Two recently released compilations feature classic tracks from Trevor - check out:
  • "Africa" on Hidden Treasures, a collection of releases from Sugar Minott's Black Roots label - Easy Star (cat. no. ES-1003)
  • "Skip Away" on Don't Call Us Immigrants, twelve seminal British Reggae cuts - Pressure Sounds (cat. no. pscd28)

Trevor is currently writing and recording material for Fu Manchu, Mafia and Fluxy, and his own productions. He's also begun compiling an album of his most sought-after work from various British producers, including many of his 80s hits which until now have only been available in singles formats.

News : September 1999

Trevor has been involved in the British Reggae All Stars' "Tribute to Dennis Brown" project since the recordings took place in the middle of July, and he turned in a searing performance of "Mine Again", backed by Mafia & Fluxy & crew, at the wildly successful Tribute launch at David Rodigan's club on Sept. 1st.

Trevor mashed up Rodigan's Reggae club in London recently with a PA which culminated in a spine-tingling a cappella version of one of his biggest hits, "Call On Me." David Rodigan commented on the performance to the assembled fans: "You've just heard the best vibrato in the reggae business."
